Hi there, I’m Sam (she/her)!

I am an imperfect human who loves coffee, books, and anything dark and creepy! I am also a licensed chemical dependency counselor and a licensed professional counselor associate supervised by Melinda Porter, LPC-S, CST, CCTP.

I provide mental health and addictions counseling services in the state of Texas. I offer in-person services in Fort Worth at MCP Counseling and online anywhere throughout the state. I hope to offer you an approach that meets you where you are while both nurturing you and facilitating the changes that you want. I aim to provide a non-judgemental and safe place for clients to work in while being my genuine and authentic self and I encourage you to do the same.

In therapy with me, you can expect a harm-reductionist approach, a non-pathologizing view, as well as an affirming and validating space. My goal is to help you grow in any way that you see fit, help guide you to have more self-compassion, and feel empowered in seeing the changes that you’ve made.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.
